It's the first day of Spring and the sunlight is pouring into Rapunzel's!  We all deserve it, it's been quite a long winter.  It was upwards of 70 degrees this time last year!  We'll get there sooner or later... 

   Rapunzel's is once again shifting focus towards spring knitting projects, new knitting classes, bright, breathable clothing lines, and new home decor.  What's most exciting is, this all means new faces!  We've seen so many new customers attending our knitting classes and pop into the shop from hearing about us through our website and our Facebook page.  It's great!

   We can hardly believe it's the middle of March already!  It seems we just turned off the Christmas music yesterday.  But, we are welcoming the first glimpses of spring with open arms.  We're happy to have four seasons here in Michigan, because as the weather changes, so do the knitting projects, and change is always inspiring. 

  As many of you already know, Rapunzel's sends out a monthly newsletter.  In our Newsletter we offer coupons, announce sales, feature new clothing, and, as always, highlight our favorite seasonal knitting projects.  The newsletter allows us to extend our reach beyond our shop and into the endless landscape of the internet!  It's very exciting for us to reach so many new people online.  Our list of newsletter recipients is growing daily.

   In an effort to improve your viewing and navigation experience, we have upgraded our newsletter program.  The format will now be cleaner, more streamlined, easier to read, and easier to navigate.  We are constantly looking for ways to improve our online presence.  We welcome and encourage suggestions on how we could improve your online experience with us.  Just let us know!

Thank you for your kind words of support and continued visits to our store; seeing your smiling faces makes this long winter so much shorter.  Spring will be here before we know it, and most of my UFO's (unfinished objects) are somewhat winter related!


New excitement is arriving everyday in our ever-growing yarn department!  Lots of natural fibers, some glitz, and pure simple color all hint at the looming Spring and Summer seasons.  


For those of you who have marked March 2nd on your calendar, we have changed the date of our Trunk Show.  We apologize if this has caused you any inconvenience.  If you still would like to use your "Free Gift" coupon on March, 2nd we will honor it.  Our eco-friendly Earth Creations clothing will now be presented on Saturday, April 13th between 1pm and 5pm.  We are making sure that all of our great clothing lines are available in the store when you arrive.  

The Earth Creations line pride's itself on using renewable resources in the production of its clothing, and the entire line is produced right here in the USA!  The entire line is colored with natural clay dyes to leave the smallest carbon footprint possible.  Check out the Earth Creations website if

Hi, It's Dee!

Thanks again for taking the time to visit our new website (it still feels so new!).  In the coming weeks, we will be sharing some wonderful projects with you online.  Here is one that is so simple and beautiful it's unbelievable. 

Did you ever think it was possible to knit a vest with only one skein of yarn?  Now you can.  The first project we'd like to share is called the Diotima shell.  It is taken from our new book entitled 'One Skein Wonders' by Judith Durant.  This simple-to-knit shell only uses one, count it, one skein of yarn.  That's it!  How much easier could it be?  We used a Fiesta Rayon Boucle Starburst "Mochachino." Doesn't this color really pop? Take a look at the finished product in the picture below.  Other colors available include: "Burnished Red", "Rusty", "Coral Reef" and "Wisteria."
